Personal Care

When a person is no longer able to care for their physical needs, some one has to step in to do those things for them.  What are “those things?”

Brush teeth, turn from side to side, feed them or give them a drink, toilet them and care for personal needs.

That requires humility on both persons.  For some it is easy, for others it can be the biggest challenge they may ever face.  So what will motivate you to care for some one’s personal needs?  Duty?  Honor?  Plain ole need?  Have to?  Money? Fear?

There are tools (my book Conversations) and organizations (hospice teams/hired care givers) and laymen (others who have gone through this before perhaps) that are at your fingertips!  Please ask for help and build your team.  You will limit your regrets if you build your team.
