Trusting Care Givers

I will assume a huge area of vulnerability during illness/end of life will be trusting your care givers.  If it is family, this may be no big deal.  If it is a hired care giver, you need to grow in your confidence in what they do for you and what they learn about your private life.  Either way, the dying/ill/aging are all surrendering to strangers who invade their privacy.

Care Givers can build trust by honestly listening to their clients and remembering what poeple are telling you.  Doing your job with diligence, gentleness, efficiency and compassion will take you far into the true meanings of life.  Lift the heavy burdens people carry.  Enjoy their personalities and be willing to learn from them.

I encourage you to study the meaning of the words respect, dignity and integrity and your care giving will not only change other lives, it will change yours too.

Who will be your care giver when you are in need?
