When it Really Matters

This morning I have been thinking about the friends and acquaintances who had sudden deaths in their families; sons/nephews/spouses/sisters.  One comment from a mom brings my attention to her comment of “finding what really matters.”

Weeding through daily issues, circumstances and expectations can promote closeness in a relationship or even distance.  Just how do we protect our intentions of helping, when we are having trouble defining “what really matters.”

Perhaps pondering (weighing something in our mind…soberly) can be of help.  Trying to decide in our lives what action, what words, what choice will make an imprint to cause us to be changed…

For my friends whose grief began suddenly, unexpectedly and immediately…thank you for helping me consider “what really matters.”
